Exclusive video interview with Jim Lee!

The weight of the anxious MMO world sits on his talented shoulders

With nearly eight million copies sold, 1991’s X-Men #1 obliterated sales records and remains an untouchable milestone to this day, thanks, in major part to Jim Lee.

Kind of intimidating, right? Well, when GCD recently was hangin’ out with Lee, we found the executive director of DC Universe Online to be super laid back and approachable. You’d never know that the weight of the anxious MMO world sits squarely on his talented shoulders.

“We are definitely gonna be getting hundreds of thousands of new people checking out the DC universe, possibly for the first time,” Lee told GCD of the online role-playing game due to launch later this year. “They might have seen Superman or Batman on the big screen, but they're going to see a lot of other parts of the DC Universe beyond just Gotham and Metropolis.”

You can also see lots more with Lee in our exclusive video interview in which he tells us of the horrible fate that would await him if he slipped up and actually disclosed the launch date for the DCUO; plus, he reveals, among other things, the secret origin behind his greatest artistic achievement as well as the unexpected fringe benefits his parents get because of his all-star status.
