Rock Out With Your Wand Out
Have You Heard Harry And The Potters?
Gone are the days when geeks were the unseen, the unclean, the unheralded. (Actually, a few guys at Comic-Con fit the unclean bill. Seriously, dude. Pit stick is not a new invention.) These days geeks are CEO's, trend-setters, and the very pulse of popular culture. We are also rock stars. Meet Harry and The Potters.
In 2002, brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge became a backyard punk band that played songs about the The Boy Who Lived. What they didn't know was their musical movement would soon shine as bright as any patronus. Download rock anthem "Dumbledore" from full-length album Harry And The Potters And The Power Of Love to get you started.
The Potters' tunes are palatable punk pop more pungent than polyjuice
potion. Unfortunately, you probably can't see Harry and The Potters live right now. They're touring Scandinavia. They plan to take a break after that, and will apparate on the West Coast some time this winter. Until then, there's a wealth of extendable ear candy to discover. Check out Draco And The Malfoys and The Whomping Willows. Or get serious and form your own wizard rock band. Need a name? How about Sirius Black Sabbath? Or The Artist Formerly Known As The Half-Blood Prince? Just don't take ours: The (You Know) Who.
