Super Schizo Spider-Man
EXCLUSIVE: Secret Symbiote Gameplay Image Revealed!
Four different Spideys? Four different Spider-verses? We don't know about you, but that makes us think of the dirtiest word in the webslinger's world: clone. Thankfully, that's not the case here.
In the new Activision/Beenox action game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, button-mashers can play in four unique worlds as Classic (a.k.a. "Amazing") Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099 and - as was announced this week after months of hype and mystery - Black Symbiote Ultimate Spider-Man.
Your hands will be busier than Doc Oc at a Charmin factory as you mix
Spidey's trademark acrobatics with the suit's grotesque-yet-powerful
alien biology. "I don't know about you, but as a Spider-Man fan, I like the Symbiote," explains Shattered Dimensions Producer Stephane Gravel on why the developers decided on the black suit. "And we also saw in the Symbiote the possibility for really cool looking attacks and cool gameplay as well."
Playing each of the game's Spider-Men also offers different atmospheric experiences. Noir lurks in the shadows, while 2099 free-falls between massive skyscrapers. Classic Spider-Man's world looks like it was ripped right from a Silver
Age comic. This game will have you spinning your web all over town. Just remember to clean up after yourself.
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions hits your console September 7. For exclusive notes on gameplay and never-before-seen screen caps be sure to pick up Wizard #230, on sale August 25 at your local comic shop.
