Dick Stories!
The world of sci-fi author Philip K Dick lives on… even though he doesn’t
You probably thought that just because legendary sci-fi
author Philip K Dick has been dead for 28 years we’d never get to read any more
of his stories. WRONG!
What an extremely un-sci-fi assumption to make. Tomorrow the
world will be able to pick up issue No. 1 of Do Androids Dream of Electric
Sheep? Dust to Dust, a four-issue comic
miniseries that acts as a prequel to Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream
of Electric Sheep? For any nerd who didn’t
know, that’s the novel that spawned the movie Blade Runner. The comic book prequel follows an android tracker
immediately after the apocalyptic World War Terminus, which decimated animal
life on Earth. It’s been approved by the Dick estate and is written by Chris
Roberson, who previously penned Vertigo’s I, Zombie.
A preview of the comic has been unleashed onto iTunes, and the
free App will even direct you to the nearest place where you can buy the comic.
How very sci-fi.
